A free community workshop will be held on April 4, 2013, to teach parents of high school students about the opportunities available to help them finance their children’s college education.
“The fact is, there’s a whole range of tools, loans, grants and techniques that parents can use to help their children get the education of their choice,” said Corwin Freeman, College Funding Specialist. “Unfortunately, few parents are aware of the options available to them and either spend far too much money out of their own pockets or force their children to attend a cheaper, lower quality school than one they should have and wanted to attend.”
The workshops will take parents through the intricacies of the College Funding System from FAFSA applications to descriptions of all the major student grants and loans to strategies to help families save money.
The workshops are free to the public and will begin at 7:00 pm. Additional details are online at www.collegefundingteam.com. Seating is limited. Due to the popularity of the workshop, reservations are required and can be made by calling (847) 888-3888.
