About the Speaker:
Dennis Mellen is a consultant, best-selling author, certified Mental Performance
Master, and internationally recognized authority on leadership and team culture. You
may have caught him on NBC The Morning Blend, ABC's Good Morning America,
numerous podcasts, radio and most recently, on stage at the Air Force Academy with
four-time Olympian, Ruben Gonzales, and on the Leading Voice stage in Grand Rapids,
MI.
A 20-year retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, he led 40 squadron pilots and is the
proud recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal and Air Force Commendation Medal.
In his 28-year career with Alaska Airlines, Dennis was Fleet Captain for 550 pilots and
40 instructors and oversaw over $100 million of equipment and training programs.
As a Leadership Trainer, he brings his military-style inspiration and employee-
engagement to teach senior business leaders how to dramatically increase team
performance, team engagement, and company profit.
An avid mountain biker, skier, Cubs and Mariners fan, Dennis lives with his wife Heidi
of 39 years in the Chicago suburbs. They have four college-educated sons, and a
beautiful granddaughter named Valerie.
